                This could be termed the true Acadian period. The first permanent settlers of note began
                 landing in Acadia in the 1630's. These French settlers inhabited the land called Acadia
                 until 1755-1763, at which time they were expelled by the British. It is very difficult to
                 get further back than these first settlers, though it can be done for a few cases."
