Chapter 3: RESEARCH: 1921 to Today

"Why select the years '1921 to Today'
The latest U.S. census that has been released is the 1920 census. For reasons of privacy,
census results are not released until 72 years (about the average human life span) has
gone by. There is not much published material (e.g. church records) to go by in this time
period. There should still be someone around who can remember information on people
                 who existed back to 1920." . . . . . . p.33 Acadian-Cajun Genealogy: Step by Step

A library isn't much good for the recent past. Your best bet is to consult family members and any research done by relatives.
