Besides Joseph & Mathurin, there was a 3rd son, Jean
   Baptiste, Jr., who had gone to the Attakapas

he had 5 arpents of l and and 1 gun


     In a list of the militia of the Acadian Coast (Verrett's Company) in 1766, there is a Francois HEBERT.

     Another census was taken on the Acadian Coast in 1769. We find the same families as above, with some additions.

     In a listing of St. James Parish families (on the east bank) in 1807, there is only one HEBERT ... a Paul HEBERT.

     In the taxpayers roll of 1808 for St. James Parish, the only HEBERT listed is Paul HEBERT, presumably the same as the 1807 Paul HEBERT.
